Not sure what kind of lawyer you need? Most people don’t know whether their problem is a personal injury matter, an employment claim or something else. That’s our job, not yours. Describe what happened in your own words and we’ll route it to our attorneys in your area who handle exactly that.

  • Free to submit
  • No obligation to hire
  • Sent only to our attorneys

How it goes, in everyday words

You shouldn’t need to know the name of your legal problem to get help with it. Tell us what happened; we’ll take it from there.

  1. Tell us what happened

A short form, about two minutes. Where you are, what kind of problem it is, and a few sentences in your own words.

  2. It goes to matched attorneys

We check the practice area and your location, then forward your request only to our attorneys who accept that kind of matter where you live, up to four of them, never a mass list.

  3. Talk it through

One of our attorneys or their office reaches out to discuss your situation. Many of our attorneys offer a no-cost initial conversation; each sets their own terms and will explain them before you agree to anything.

Matching for the legal problems people actually run into.

What we are, and what we aren't

TheAdvocatePath.com is an attorney matching and advertising service. We are not a law firm, we do not employ attorneys, and we do not provide legal advice, opinions or representation. Submitting a request does not create an attorney-client relationship with us or with any of our attorneys.

Our attorneys are independent professionals. They are not our agents or employees, and they are solely responsible for the services they provide. We do not evaluate or endorse any attorney's skill or experience, and we cannot promise any outcome. Prior results never guarantee a similar result.

Legal claims have deadlines. If your matter is urgent, contact an attorney or your state bar's lawyer referral service directly, and call 911 in an emergency. Read our full Disclaimer.

Before you send anything, here’s what people ask.

No. We are an attorney matching and advertising service. We do not employ attorneys, we don’t give legal advice, and we can’t represent you. We take a plain-language description of your problem and pass it to our attorneys who handle that kind of case where you live.

Nothing. Submitting a request is free and there is no obligation to hire anyone. Our attorneys pay us a marketing fee to receive inquiries; that fee is never charged to you and does not change what an attorney charges for legal services.

Your request is forwarded to up to four of our attorneys whose practice areas and service areas match what you told us. They (or their intake staff) may call or email you using the details you provided.

No. You decide whether to move forward, and you can stop at any point. Nothing on this site commits you to anything.

Two minutes, no legal terms needed. We’ll forward your request to our attorneys and tell you what to expect next.

What to have handy: roughly when it happened, where you live (ZIP code), and a sentence or two about the situation. Please leave out Social Security, bank or card numbers. Nobody needs those yet.
